B737 Pilots Minimum Criteria 

Jetconnect pilots are an integral part of our team, ensuring operational excellence within a safety conscious culture.  Our pilots have a variety of flying backgrounds, each offering a unique combination of experience.  

 

At Jetconnect we are currently recruiting First Officers to join our team who are professional, hardworking, safety conscious and have good interpersonal skills.

The minimum requirements are:

  • Hold an Australian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)*, or an Australian Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL)* with passes in all written Australian ATPL exams

  • Current CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate

  • Hold a current CASA Multi-Engine Instrument Rating, endorsed 2D & 3D

  • Level 6 English Language Proficiency Demonstration

  • Hold New Zealand residency or the legal right to work in NZ

  • Be able to swim 50 metres fully clothed then tread water for 3 minutes

  • Must be able to provide evidence of being fully vaccinated against Covid19

 

*A New Zealand Licence can be converted to an Australian Licence via the TTMRA process, If a New Zealand CPL is held with passes in all written NZ ATPL exams this will be deemed to initially meet the minimum recruitment experience requirements. A candidate will be required to re sit the Australian ATPL theory exams or obtain a NZ ATPL Flight Test at their own cost.

 

First Officer Position minimum flight time experience requirements:

  • 2,000 hours total flight time

  • 1,000 hours total Multi Engine flight time

  • 500 hours PIC or 250 hours PIC and 1000 hours as Co-Pilot on a multi-engine turbine aeroplane

  • Boeing 737-800 Type Rating*

 

*A Boeing 737-800 Type Rating is required; however if you do not hold this rating Jetconnect will arrange a Type Rating course.
