Can you picture life as one of our New Zealand-based Flight Attendants?

The people you’ll meet, the places you’ll go, the pride you’ll experience by helping to keep people safe and happy in the skies. Sharing the Spirit of Qantas with our Kiwi twist is the stuff that both memories and an amazing career are made of.

We have both short-haul and long-haul cabin crew as part of our team. Customer service, safety and customer wellbeing are at the very heart of the Flight Attendant role, regardless of whether it’s a short trip across the Tasman or to destinations on much more distant shores.

Safety is at the forefront - once you join us, you'll be equipped with some of the best training and development in the industry. Our Flight Attendant Training Programme is a chance to meet your new colleagues, forge friendships and relationships, but most importantly, ensure that you're fully trained on the safety elements of the role. Passing the Flight Attendant Training Programme is a prerequisite to flying, so don't forget to prepare for a bit of study!

Short-Haul

Our short-haul crew are the safety-focused smiling faces on our Trans-Tasman routes. Based in Auckland or Wellington, they get to experience regular trips to Christchurch, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. Trips just over the ditch mean they have more time for those special moments and connections at home with family and friends.

Long-Haul

Our long-haul crew fly varying routes across the Qantas network to destinations which currently include New York, Los Angeles, Delhi and Australia. They’re adventurers who love to provide outstanding service and safety to our passengers flying further afield.
